Physical properties of refractories include structural properties, thermal properties, mechanical properties, performance and job performance.
Structural performance refractories include porosity, bulk density, water absorption, air permeability, pore size distribution.
Refractory thermal properties including thermal conductivity, thermal expansion coefficient, specific heat, heat capacity, the thermal diffusivity, the thermal emission rate.
Mechanical properties include compressive strength of the refractory, tensile strength, flexural strength, torsional strength, shear strength, impact strength, abrasion resistance, creep resistance, bond strength, elastic modulus.
Performance refractories include refractoriness, RUL, heavy firing line changes, thermal shock resistance, slag resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, resistance to water resistance, corrosion resistance to CO, conductivity, oxidation resistance and so on.
